Ques. When the candidates can register for JoSAA 2020 counseling?

Ans: JoSAA 2020 Counselling starts with Registration followed by Choice Filling and Locking and ends with Seat Allotment and Reporting to the colleges. Registration for JoSAA Counselling 2020 shall begin from 6th October 2020. JoSAA will conduct 7 rounds of seat allotment process.

Ques. When candidate has to report for the JoSAA center for any Institute that has been allotted?

Ans: Candidate need not to report any JoSAA center for this year. There will be online reporting for this year that will include fee payment / document upload / response by candidate to query (if required). Candidate has to report physically at Admitting/Alloted Institute in round 7 ONLY tentatively scheduled from 9th – 13th Nov 2020.

Ques. Do candidates need to fill any other form (apart from JoSAA/CSAB 2020) to get admission into IIIT Pune?

Ans: No, IIIT Pune takes admission in B. Tech. programmes through JoSAA/CSAB counselling only.

Ques. When classes will commence for the candidates admitted through JoSAA/CSAB 2020?

Ans: Keep checking the Institute website regularly for the academic calendar of FY students.

Ques. What will be the mode of classes for newly joined students?

Ans: In view of the safety of the newly admitted students, IIIT Pune will run the semester in online mode until pandemic ends/ official notification by the Government.

Ques. What are the various scholarship schemes at IIIT Pune?

Ans: IIIT Pune doesn’t provide any scholarship/financial assistance for B.Tech. students. However, many State Governments have fee reimbursement schemes for students studying in MHRD funded Institutes. Ans: Fee structure for B.Tech courses can be found on the Institute website in Institute Information Brochure.

Ques. What is the way to pay fee to the Institute?

Ans: Candidates can pay fee online to the Institute using the given link:

It is advised to pay fee using this link via Internet Banking. However, candidates can also pay fee using this link via Debit/Credit cards but bank charges will apply.

Ques. Does Institute allow to pay the fee semester wise?

Ans: Yes, Candidates can pay fee either semester or year wise.

Ques. Is there any financial relaxation for the reserved category students?

Ans: No. As of now there is no provision for financial relaxation for the reserved category students at IIIT Pune.

Ques. Does Institute assist in providing Education loan facility to the students?

Ans: Yes. Institute will provide 4-year expenditure statement (approximate) to the interested bonafide candidate.

Ques. Does Institute allow the lateral entry scheme in B.Tech. programmes?

Ans: No.

Ans: Yes. Students can apply for branch change in the beginning of second year of the programme. However, a certain number of students with higher CGPA in the first year is allowed for change of branch subject to approval of the academic body.
